Research Participant Privacy Notice
Neothread Research Inc. (“we”, “us”) conducts paid research interviews with professionals. This notice explains what we collect when you take part, why, and who sees it. It covers research participation only.

Who we are and who the research is for
We conduct research on behalf of a sponsoring client. The sponsor is named to you in the message or advertisement that invited you to take part, before you provide any information.
We are the controller of your information. The sponsor receives the research findings, and is told which invited participants completed an interview.
The sponsor may contact you afterwards. If you would prefer they did not, tell us at hello@neothread.ai and we will act on that.
What we collect
When you accept an invitation. Depending on how you were invited: your name, job title, employer, professional email address, LinkedIn profile URL, and — if you provide it — a phone number. Where you respond to a LinkedIn advertisement, LinkedIn pre-fills some of these from your own LinkedIn profile and passes them to us when you submit the form.
Before the interview. We may already hold your name, job title, employer and professional contact details, obtained from business-contact data providers or from publicly available professional profiles.
During the interview
The interview is conducted by an AI interviewer over your device’s microphone. It is recorded, transcribed, and analysed automatically to produce research findings. You will be told this before the interview begins. If you do not want to be recorded, do not start the interview.
Afterwards. If you qualify for an incentive, the name, email address and location you submit on the claim form, so the payment can be issued.
What we do not collect
No patient data and no protected health information
We do not collect patient data, medical records, or protected health information. The interview is about business operations — the software you use, administrative workload, how work gets done. If you volunteer information of that kind, do not include anything identifying a patient. We are not a covered entity or business associate for the purposes of HIPAA.
We do not collect payment card details, government identifiers, or login credentials at any point.
Why we collect it
- To invite you, and to identify you when you arrive so the interview is set up correctly
- To conduct, record, transcribe and analyse the interview
- To produce research findings for the sponsoring client
- To issue your incentive payment
- To keep records of consent and participation
Our lawful basis, where applicable, is your consent and our legitimate interest in conducting business research. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your choices).
Who else sees it
We use service providers who process information on our behalf, under contract:

The sponsoring client receives the research findings and is told which invited participants completed an interview, as described above.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
- Interview recordings, transcripts and analysis
- 12 monthsfrom the interview, then deleted
- Participation and incentive records
- 7 yearsfor accounting and audit
- Contact details of people who asked not to be contacted again
- Indefinitelysolely to honour that request
Your choices
- Withdraw at any time, before, during or after the interview
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Ask us not to contact you again, and not to pass your details to the sponsor

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion; to request correction; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Exercise any of these rights at the email above.
Changes
We will update this notice as needed and change the date above. Material changes affecting people who have already participated will be notified by email where we hold an address.
